TAIWAN: President Chen scraps National Unification Council: Accumulate positions on market weakness

President Chen Shui Bian scrapped the Kuomingtang established National Unification Council which was a council established to promote cross-strait relations. Though the council has been more of a figurehead of late, the importance of it's abolishment are certainly great.
With relations already tenuous, this action by President Chen is increasing tensions as China reads the action as a pro-independence signal.
I am not a political commentator and so will not speculate on the political fallout or gain from this move, but I am fundamentally long the depressed Taiwan market, so I would rebuild and add positions on the back of temporary weakness.
